It's a good day for Good Neighbor.

For more than a decade, we've followed California's most prestigious cannabis competition and awards show, the Emerald Cup. Earlier this year we built up the courage to submit our first-ever submission and guess what? We're beyond thrilled to share that our 1:1 Good Neighbor blend was awarded 3rd place among all non-infused prerolls in California! Check out all the 2022 winners, here.

About the Emerald Cup

"The Emerald Cup Competition & Awards features California's best cultivators, extractors, movers, shakers, and cool-product-makers to put their best head-to-head against the rest."

The famous competition which includes hundreds of California's top brands and thousands of attendees was founded in 2003 by Tim Blake, a long time cannabis grower, activist, and member of the cannabis community. It's come a long way since the first Emerald Cup which was hosted on a campground and was disguised as a birthday party. This year’s event was hosted in Hollywood at the Montalban theatre with the who's who of cannabis in attendance.

We couldn't be more proud to win the honors and express our gratitude to the panel of cannabis experts who judged the competition. We admire how Emerald Cup has always been pioneers in evaluating cannabis for its overall quality, not just its THC percentage.

"THC has never won the cup, it's always been a combination of the cannabinoids and terpenes that make something special," says the event's founder and producer, Tim Blake,in an interview with Green Entrepreneur.

What’s Next for Country

Our win just makes us even more motivated to create amazing products. We just launched our new Mendocino Train, a rare 2:1 CBD-to-THC ratio flower that also brings a medley of cannabinoids and terpenes to provide an amazing, well-balanced experience.

Mendocino Train's genetics include Mendo Fruit Punch and Cannatonic, while its dominant terpenes include limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene. With more than 30% cannabinoids, 'the Train' - as we call it - offers an enjoyable, everyday ride! You can learn more, here.
